September 8, 2020 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET

The Clean Energy States Alliance’s new report, The Role of Hydropower in State Clean Energy Policy, describes the treatment of hydropower in state clean energy policies and offers strategies for reducing barriers to hydropower’s development.

Rebecca O’Neil from PNNL offered introductory remarks and provided information on PNNL and U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) hydropower programs and DOE’s upcoming U.S. Hydropower Market Report. Like the report, the webinar addressed hydropower’s role in state RPS programs, its participation and opportunities in New England’s RPS markets, and pumped hydropower energy storage’s role in both RPS programs and state energy storage policies.
