Technical Assistance for Community Solar + Energy Storage

• Projects may be located in 46 of the 50 US states, as well as Washington DC and Puerto Rico. Eligible locations include:
  AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.

• Projects located within federally recognized Tribal land are not currently eligible for CPC-led support but could seek assistance from other Solar for All programs, such as the Oweesta Corporation (nationwide) or other state or regional programs listed on the EPA website.  

• Supported projects intend to install both community solar and energy storage.  

• For the purposes of this program, eligible community solar projects must be residential-serving and subscription-based. Projects must serve Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities (LIDAC), as determined by the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool or the EJScreen Mapping Tool. The community solar and energy storage system will be designed so that 1) at least 50 percent of the electricity generated and at least 50 percent of the benefits derived from the power generated are delivered to residential customers and 2) residents within LIDAC communities receive a minimum of 20 percent net savings on the cost of electricity.

Technical assistance will be conducted by CEG in partnership with trusted engineering partners that are experienced in providing easily digestible reports to organizations interested in community solar and energy storage.
